VolunteerProject Enterprise accepts volunteers on a quarterly basis. In order to volunteer with PE we ask that you attend one of our bi-monthly information sessions where we will outline available positions and enroll new volunteers. In general, hours and schedule for volunteers are flexible depending on the volunteer’s schedule and some work can be done remotely. Attend a volunteer information session:
PE's office: 144 W. 125th Street, 4th Fl, NYC 10027. 2/3 train to 125th and walk one block West. A/C/B/D trains to 125th and walk two blocks East. Our office is located within the Studio Museum of Harlem. As of January 2010, these are the current volunteer positions available. Young Friends Network: Join a network of likeminded volunteers! This network will leverage new leaders, socialize with like minded young New York City professionals, raise funds for the organization Outreaching Volunteer: Help get the word out about PE! Help get the word out about PE during the busy summer season. Help PE have a presence at local events during the week and on weekends, help announce PE events on local community calendars etc… Assist with outreach mailings. Affinity Volunteer: Can you help our entrepreneurs make connections? Help PE source excellent guest speakers for a variety of presentations to our entrepreneurs. Also help build a group of mentors for our entrepreneurs who are successful entrepreneurs themselves. We want to connect our bath and body entrepreneurs to successful bath and body moguls here in NYC to give them an opportunity to learn from the best. Affinity volunteers will be working in a team to plan events for our entrepreneurs to give them the chance to interact with mentors in their field. Curriculum Volunteer: Help build our Entrepreneurs’ skills. Our entrepreneurs stay with PE for an average of 4 years, so we are always looking for fresh materials to keep things interesting! Help create an interactive, fun lesson that can be used for workshops between 10-60 minutes. Each quarter PE will distribute a Request for Volunteers to write curriculums focused on a particular topic. You don’t necessarily need experience with a particular topic, but you need to know how to become versed in a topic and how to design some lessons for adults. Fundraising Volunteer: Can you help PE make connections? Help promote fundraising and friendraising events that PE hosts throughout the year. Help PE by getting the word out about different events in your professional circles. Events include a gala, auction, book signings, luncheons and more. Better yet, help PE by hosting your own event to raise awareness and funds for PE!
