Binta Niambi Brown became a member of the board in 2009. She is a corporate partner at Kirkland and Ellis LLP’s Finance and Secured Lending Group. Her pro bono experience has included involvement with economic development initiatives assisting women in conflict zones, advocacy for trafficking victims, and working with the New York City public schools. Binta Naimbi currently serves on Kirkland and Ellis LLP’s Diversity Committee, Racial/Ethnic Minority Subcommittee, and Gender Subcommittee She is also a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee, and a member of the Board of Trustees at Barnard College. Previously, she worked for Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Christopher Capers joined the board in 2009. He is the CEO of Touch IQ, a next generation provider of market research, audience analysis and forecasting based in New York. Touch IQ leverages a unique combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate cultural perception, awareness, trends, intention and behavior for enhanced consumer understanding. Prior to joining Touch IQ, Christopher worked for AlixPartners, a global turnaround, restructuring and financial advisory firm. He is a recognized executive in turnaround and performance improvement with distressed companies in technology, consumer products, automotive and industrial products. Prior to AlixPartners, Christopher was a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. in the Operations Group based in Chicago. Christopher also served as an independent consultant for Barden International in Windhoek, Namibia, where he managed the startup of an export warehouse to market and sell 4x4 vehicles outside of southern Africa. He is a former project manager and equipment engineer from Polaroid Corporation, Optics Division. Christopher received his MBA from Harvard University School of Business Administration. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with honors from the University of Pittsburgh. Michael Cippoletti joined Project Enterprise in January 2010. Michael is Managing Director of Global Capital Markets for Morgan Stanley where he heads Energy ELP and Healthcare ECM businesses. Additionally, he co-heads analyst recruiting and serves on the Committee that evaluates promotions for the Capital Markets Group. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was Vice President in Equity Capital Markets at Banc of America Securities focused on the health care and energy sectors overseeing equity and equity-linked offerings. He also served as Vice President of Business Development at Scientific Learning Corp. Michael received his BA in Philosophy and English from Amherst College. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children. Richard Charkham joined the Board in June 2010. He is the Senior Vice President of CresaPartners, the largest commercial real estate advisory firm in North America that represents only corporate tenants. Richard specializes in advising USA subsidiaries of overseas companies on the strategic planning of their real estate needs and the implementation of the acquisition and disposition of office space. Prior to joining CresaPartners in 2009, Richard was a Managing Director at FirstService Williams from 2002-2009 and Vice President at CB Richard Ellis from 1995-2002. Before coming to the United States, Richard practiced law in England and Israel for 18 years and his background provides a unique perspective for his clients when tackling intricate lease matters. Richard advises clients throughout North America and also in other global markets. Richard is a graduate of the College of Law in London. Alex Counts joined the Board in 1998 and served as chair from 2001-2009. Alex is the President and CEO of Grameen Foundation USA. He has been involved in micro-credit for the poor since he graduated from Cornell University in 1988 with a B.A. in Economics. He was a Fulbright scholar with the Grameen Bank, Bangladesh in 1988-89. Upon returning to the US, he served as legislative director for RESULTS for four years. In 1993 Mr. Counts returned to Bangladesh as part of the International Training Division of Grameen Bank. In 1995 and 1996, Mr. Counts worked for CARE-Bangladesh as a regional project manager. In April 1997 he became the full-time President of Grameen Foundation USA, which promotes peer lending programs in the Americas. He has visited and evaluated micro-credit programs in Malaysia, the Philippines, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Nigeria. He is the author of Give Us Credit: How Muhammad Yunus's Micro-Lending Revolution is Empowering Women from Bangladesh to Chicago. Debra Franklin-Schatzki, Co-founder, Executive Committee Member, is a co-founder of PE with her husband Nick. Debra is currently the President and CEO of BPP Wealth and has been involved with Project Enterprise since its inception in 1995. Debra has been working in the financial planning industry for more than 25 years. She is a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Accredited Estate Planner. Debra was introduced to world of Micro Lending/ Microcredit, while involved with RESULTS, a nonprofit, grassroots citizens' lobby that identifies sustainable solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty as a human rights issue, in the United States and around the world. Debra was also a past president of Financial Professionals for Social Responsibility. She & her husband have traveled to Bangladesh and other places around the world to study the Grameen Bank & other microcredit operations. Debra lives in New Jersey with her husband, son and their 2 Wheaton terriers. Robert Freiman joined the board in 2009. He is currently the partner in Freiman Franco, P.C., and was in the past a partner with both Phillips Nizer LLP and Mandel Resnik Kaiser Moskowitz & Greenstein P.C.. He has 39 years of experience in representing clients in the field of estates and trusts. Robert is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and of the New York State Bar Association, and of the Estate Planning Council of New York City. He is also a member of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Planned Giving Advisory Council, and of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Professional Advisory Council, and is a former President and Trustee of the Board of Education of the East Williston, New York schools. Robert earned his BA from the University of Rochester and his JD from the New York University School of Law. Seema Hingorani joined the Board of Project Enterprise in 2008 and serves as Treasurer. Currently, Seema is the Head of Public Equities with the Bureau of Asset Management in the NYC Office of the Comptroller, which manages over $100BN in NYC’s pension fund assets. She has 15 years of U.S. and global public market investment experience, having been Global Director of Fundamental Research with Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments Company in Boston with $150BN in assets, a Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst with Andor Capital Management, a Senior Equity Analyst with Pequot Capital Management, and an Equity Analyst with the T. Rowe Price Group. Seema also has significant entrepreneurial experience having co-founded hedge fund Mirador Capital Management and a start-up Internet media company as its Chief Financial Officer earlier in her career. Seema earned her BA in Psychology/Philosophy from Yale College and her MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Genita Ingram joined the Board in June 2010. Genita is currently the Director of Marketing at JDR Consulting LLC and JDR Realty Capital LLC. She is responsible for new business development through the design and execution of marketing campaigns. She has advanced JDR Consulting from a local firm to a successful nationwide company. Her drive has allowed her to craft and implement marketing strategies in launching Accounting Real Estate and Asset Management services. With over 25 years of knowledge, developing and implementing marketing strategies for businesses and organizations, spanning a variety of industries, Genita has used her expertise to provide businesses and organizations the best practices in marketing and new business development. She has designed strategic marketing initiatives and developed creative approaches to marketing with the use of online tools. Genita received a degree in Business from Los Angeles Community College, and is affiliated with the New York Association of Real Estate Management, New York Chamber of Commerce, and Real Comm Technology Solutions. Michael Katz joined Project Enterprise in 2006 and recently stepped down as Director of Business Development at Conductor to travel before beginning Columbia Business School in the fall. Previously he focused on supporting investments in applied technologies at Pequot Ventures. Mike also worked at Merrill Lynch in the Global Markets & Investment Banking group, coordinating the business strategy for hedge fund clients. Prior to that, Mike worked for Merrill Lynch's Enterprise Services Group developing liquidity strategies for small companies. Mike has also worked with Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner as well as Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley, two law firms focused on intellectual property litigation. Mike graduated from McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a B.S. in Finance and International Business. Tara Walpert Levy joined Project Enterprise in 2009. She is the President of Visible World, the leading provider of targeted television advertising solutions that enable advertisers to effectively target, efficiently customize, and rapidly change their messages to address diverse audiences and business situation. She was named by Advertising Age as one of the top “Women to Watch in 2008”. Prior to joining Visible World, Tara was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she was a leader of the Global Media & Entertainment and Sales & Marketing groups. She has also worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs and a consultant for The LEK Partnership. Tara began her career in print and online advertising sales and served on the Board of Directors of Let’s Go Publishing, Inc. Tara currently serves on the alumni advisory board of McKinsey & Company and is a member of the Young President’s Organization. Erik Miller joined the Board in 2003 and serves as Vice Chair. Erik is currently the Group Finance Director of Marlin Equity Partners, a private equity firm located in El Segundo, California with over $1 billion under management. Erik focuses on evaluating potential acquisitions, assisting with post-deal implementation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. Prior to this, Erik was most recently employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Transaction Services - M&A consulting. Prior to this position, he was the Chief Financial Officer of VIDISolutions, a developer of enterprise video messaging products. He has over 16 years of financial services experience, focused on mergers and acquisitions at Marlin Equity Partners, Merrill Lynch and PricewaterhouseCoopers. As an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, he provided financial and strategic advice to a wide range of mid-market clients, assisted in raising over $1.5 billion in debt and equity financing and acted as an advisor on several M&A transactions. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, Erik is a director advising on corporate acquisitions and divestitures with total market value in excess of $15 billion in the entertainment, retail, consumer products and manufacturing industries. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his M.B.A from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Thomas W. Morgan joined the Board in 2006. He is a Managing Director of New York-based private equity firm New Mountain Capital LLC, which he joined at its inception in 2000. Prior to New Mountain, he was a private equity investment professional with Bain Capital, Inc. in Boston from 1994 to 2000, and an investment-banking analyst with CS First Boston in New York in its Mergers and Acquisitions and Structured Finance areas from 1991-1994. Mr Morgan earned his B.A. in History and Political Science from Williams College in 1991, magna cum laude, and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1998. He is also a director of MailSouth, Inc., University Settlement Society of New York and serves on the Board of Governors of The Williams Club of New York. Rob Rahbari joined Project Enterprise in 2006 and serves as Secretary. Rob is currently a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and is responsible for integrated wealth management. He was a founding Partner of RAS Capital Management, an investment management firm focused on India. At RAS Capital, Rob's responsibilities include product structuring and development, sourcing of and due diligence on the firm's investments, and legal, compliance and operational matters for the firm. Rob also previously served as Director of Ferro Capital LLC, a global fund-of-hedge funds management firm, with similar responsibilities. Prior to Ferro Capital, he spent five years as an attorney in the Investment Management groups of Skadden, Arps (1996-2000) and Weil, Gotshal & Manges (2003-2004). Rob earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School (1996) and is an honors graduate in Economics from the University of Michigan (1993). David Singer has served on the Board of Directors since September of 2001 and currently serves as Chair. David is a litigation partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, and has served as lead litigation and trial counsel on matters involving business contracts, executive employment agreements, restrictive covenants, fiduciary duty, interference with business relationships, fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, employment termination, commercial misrepresentation, employment discrimination, real estate valuations and other commercial matters. He has successfully tried and defended cases in federal and state courts and arbitration panels, and represented clients in appellate arguments, mediations and negotiations. Mr. Singer advises clients on litigation avoidance and preparedness and performs litigation risk assessments. Mr. Singer also focuses on alternative dispute resolution, and has served for more than 20 years as a neutral arbitrator and mediator handling business disputes and executive employment matters. Prior to joining the Board of Project Enterprise, he served for 10 years as a member of the Board and Vice President of Self-Help for Older Persons Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving older, low-income populations in the South Bronx. David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and law degree from New York University School of Law. Sharon J. Weinberg joined the board in 2006 and serves as Vice-Chair. She is a Managing Director at JPMorgan Private Bank, where she is responsible for the Law Firms business. She is the lead author of ‘The Continuing Evolution of the Financial Advisory Business’ and 'Post-Modern Portfolio Theory'. Previously, Sharon was associated with Willkie Farr & Gallagher, a New York City law firm, where her specialty was investment management, representing both private and public investment advisors and investment companies. She from 2003-2005 chaired the JPMorgan Asset Management-Americas Diversity Council, and works mindfully to advance the development, promotion and recognition of high potential and emerging talent. Sharon is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and Johns Hopkins University, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins Center for Financial Economics. She lives in New York City with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs.
